Trip Itinerary
DAY 1 Marrakech to Tagdilt
Climb through the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka. Arrive at Tagdilt as the light turns golden.
DAY 2 Tagdilt to Plateau N'Ouarg
Watch the mules loaded at dawn. Cross volcanic plateau, climb to camp at 2,250m.
DAY 3 Kouaouch Summit
Ascend through volcanic rock towers to Kouaouch (2,600m) with panoramic views to the Sahara.
DAY 4 Gorges of Afourar & Bab n'Ali
Descend through spectacular gorges. The twin pillars of Bab n'Ali appear — the iconic gateway.
DAY 5 Ighazoun to Handour
Final day in the Saghro. Arrive at Handour where tomorrow you'll trade mules for camels.
DAY 6-9 Camel Caravan through the Draa
Four days with camels through the Draa Valley and four magnificent ergs: Bougayir, Tidri, Erg Sahel, and Ouled Driss.
DAY 10 Return to Marrakech
Transfer back via the Draa Valley and Tizi n'Tichka.
