Trip Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival in Marrakech

— THE RED CITY

Welcome to Morocco. Transfer to your hotel in the Guéliz district. Depending on your arrival time, explore the medina — lose yourself in the labyrinthine souks, taste the flavors of Morocco, watch the snake charmers and storytellers as the sun sets over Jemaa el-Fna.

DAY 2 Into the Toubkal Massif

— FIRST STEPS

Morning drive into the High Atlas. Beyond Asni, meet your muleteer-cook and begin a gentle ascent through walnut groves and Amazigh villages. The trail winds past watermills and terraced fields to your gîte in Aït Aïssa, where Toubkal's silhouette greets the evening stars.

DAY 3 Azaden Valley & Waterfalls

— HIDDEN VALLEY

Follow the river upstream through the Azaden Valley — terraced gardens, ancient junipers and walnuts, houses in shades of earth and rose. The trail climbs to Ighouliden Falls, the highest cascades in the massif, where you can swim in crystal pools before reaching the refuge.

DAY 4 To Toubkal Base Camp

— HIGH COUNTRY

Climb toward the Mouflons refuge, base camp for the summit. Across the valley, Djebel Tazarhart rises wild with its famous couloirs. The landscape becomes lunar — scree and rock, silence and sky. Your refuge perches at 3,207m, the summit waiting above.

DAY 5 Toubkal Summit

— ROOF OF NORTH AFRICA

Pre-dawn departure for the summit of North Africa. The rocky trail climbs through scree and boulders into a narrow valley before reaching the summit ridge. At 4,167m, the world spreads beneath you — the Sahara to the south, the Atlantic to the west, the Atlas in every direction.

DAY 6 Descent to Imlil

— RETURNING

Leave the high mountain world and descend through changing landscapes — from arid peaks to irrigated valleys. Pass the sacred site of Sidi Chamharouch, where pilgrims come for healing. Your gîte in Imlil offers hot showers, cold drinks, and the satisfaction of summit achieved.

DAY 7 Return to Marrakech

— CITY COMFORTS

Final mountain breakfast with views of Toubkal. Transfer to Marrakech, arriving late morning. The afternoon is yours — explore the souks, visit the Majorelle Garden, or indulge in a traditional hammam to soothe muscles that have climbed the highest peak in North Africa.

DAY 8 Departure

— FAREWELL

Final morning in Marrakech. Depending on your flight time, a last stroll through the medina before transfer to the airport. You leave having stood on the roof of North Africa, the mountain of mountains forever in your memory.
